Scars resulting from burns, road rash, or shrapnel type of injuries often cover large areas of skin. This blanket is one of the largest silicone sheets you will find anywhere, and can cover either very large scars or cut to fit multiple scars.
Includes One 10" x 24" Silicone Blanket
General Directions for Use:
• Remove Silagen® from the package. If needed, cut and trim Silagen® so that it
extends at least ½ inch (1 centimeter) beyond the area to be treated.
• Wash and dry the area being treated every time you apply Silagen®.
• Peel off the release liner and apply Silagen®, adhesive side down, directly on
the area being treated.
• Make sure the scar site is free of creams, lotions, and ointments (including
Silagen® 100% Pure Silicone gel & Silagen® + SPF 30) as they will cause
Silagen® to lose adhesiveness.
• Although Silagen® is a self-adhesive product, if needed you may secure it by
using medical grade tape or any other preferred method.
• Silagen® should be worn every day for 6 to 24 hours per day. For best results
it can be worn continuously but should be removed once a day for inspection
of the site and to allow the site to be washed and dried.
• If you have highly sensitive skin, begin using Silagen® for 4 hours per day for
the first 4 days to determine any possible reaction. Thereafter, increase usage
time.
• Silagen® should be used for a minimum of 3 months. Additional improvement
may occur with continued use up to 6 months, especially with older scars.
• When Silagen® becomes dirty or loses adhesiveness, wash gently with tap
water and Silagen® CLEAN foaming cleanser then air-dry before reapplying.
Wash at least every 2-3 days.
• Silagen® should be replaced when it deteriorates, disintegrates, or will not
stick. Each sheet should last 3 to 4 weeks before needing to be replaced.
• Keep packaging for storage of the product when not in use.
